This season Andres Sarda explores new fits, fabrics and colour palettes, designed to look especially flattering, accentuate the stylised effect of the silhouette, and meet the needs of different body types. The subtle and functional details – as part of Sarda’s DNA – are woven into the designs, adding a light touch to an especially luxurious and sophisticated season collection.

HIRST

Refined lines and sophisticated materials are the eye-catchers in a series featuring devoré inspired by exotic animal markings, creating a subtle transparency effect. An elastic material with cotton look that styles the body, in two fetish colours: make-up pink and black.

The design takes account of the needs of various body types with a variety of styles, including a wire bra, also in large cups, a padded bra and a triangle with extra volume. The details return throughout the series, with the Leavers lace on the neckline and the straps and strategically placed strips over the hips.

The series is completed with a range of exceptional pieces, including a body string with ballerina neckline, which comes very high on the leg and is decorated with strips of lace specially designed to stylise the silhouette. There is also a shell bra and thong set with Swarovski details on the neck and waist, and strips of lace on the hips.

The transparent tulle decorated with floral embroidery and geometric patterns returns throughout the series into colour palettes – one brighter, with nude and opaline as headline tints and one in which cream is set off against navy, the new Andres Sarda black for this season.

The pieces are streamlined with braiding details on the neckline and straps of the bras, and metal and enamel embellishments in the same tone.

The bras come in various balcony fits, with padding, push-up and large cup versions to meet the needs of different body types, while the bottoms come in all possible fits from thong to briefs.

The series also offers a combination of a mini-bra and tanga decorated with transparent flouncing on neckline and waist. There is also a camisole in plumetis tulle with polka dot embroidery, fastened at the back with crystal buttons. A versatile and sophisticated piece designed to go with all series briefs or for use as an upper layer in an outfit.

Research into materials and cuts make possible a series in which the vintage spirit of crocheting combines with elastic, ultra-flat lace that meets the needs of different body types and accentuates the curves of the body. The cotton-look of this precious material is the eye-catcher in a series that pays homage to the traditions of haute lingerie with a wide range of bra styles and tops, including the strapless balcony, which can also be worn on its own. In the briefs, the series is completed with high briefs with garters, which is ideal as part of the trousseau.

Such details as faceted glass beads return throughout the series adding a touch of ornamentation to the design; and the light and intense colour creates a total look in a pure white, coral and dark green with black.

In the special garments, a mini-tanga with fantasy bra and a bead top that can be worn over a dress or top completes the series.

KOONS

Chantilly lace so characteristic of haute lingerie and French silk feature heavily in these pieces, which are meticulously made using traditional techniques. The lace was studied in the Andres Sarda studio to create a high-quality elastic version that produces pieces that fit different body types. The strategically applied Swarovski crystals add a light touch to the pieces, which in this series are streamlined with strips of silk and braid details in the same tone.

The palette creates a total look in two colours: a subtle make-up and an elegant, warm bluish grey. The series includes all regular bra styles, including the especially eye-catching triangle bra without underwires, and a wide range of briefs, with standout piece the boxers with tanga style at the back. The designs are finished with smart cuts to ensure the pieces are invisible under clothing.

The series is completed with two special pieces: the body with halter neck and low-cut back, and a top with fringes on the bias that can be worn on its own.

TIMELESS SARDA

This season the Andres Sarda classics are updated with new colours added to the palettes of each of these oh so special series.

In SS2017 the Eden series includes a new combination of opaline and nude. Ginger cuts to the chase in ivory, while Cinnamon comes in a sophisticated skin tone with a seductive vintage spirit.
